We would like to introduce a book titled "HEAD VASES BY NUMBERS" by Dave and Yvonne Barron. This booklet includes more than 1400 listings and more than 1,000 photos. It has 102 pages which are printed in black. This is one of the newest books on head vases with a price guide. The book is divided into 4 sections. The front section of this book has a description and an explanation on how to use and read the numbers. It is followed by listing by numbers with descriptions, values and references of plate numbers. The third section has photos, manufacturer numbers, and heights of each head vase with plate numbers. The last section has miscellaneous information such as references and a discussion on fake head vases. We must appluse Mr. & Mrs. Barron who must have spent countless hours preparing this book. Like any price guide book, these price values are giving you some idea how much each head vase would be. We had shop around both on line and antique malls and found that this guide book is reliable within the margin of 10 to 15%. It tooks us quite sometime to go back and forth between photo section and listing and values section. Black & white photos are little small due to the limited of number of pages. Even though these photos are small, they are very helpful. We were usually looking at photos first then flip back to descriptions & price guides section. We rank this book 9 out of 10 since we found all information that we needed. (This book is includes few animals, clowns, and even fake head vases. We don't think they are necessary because there are so few of them.)

opinions. The book averaged a score of 8 out of 10 (ten is the highest).
Therefore, this book receives our seal of approval. The price is very
affordable although the distribution is limited.
