On-line auction becomes very popular among collectors. A lot of buyers are also selling and trading their head vases online. One of the most important thing to sell your item online is to show your item clearly. This may sound simple, but you have no idea how many times bad photos could turn off your potential customers or the sale didn't reach the amount that you were hoping for.

Photos are the key of a successful sale regardless how rare your items are. It is true that you may make a sale anyway, but sometimes your item may bring you more money if you have more buyers who want it. Here are seven simple tips and photos to illustrate my points.

7 SIMPLE RULES:

1) Photo must be clear. No one can see your item if it is blury. (unless I need reading glasses!)

2) Focus on your item. Reflecting mirror is not the way to shoot especially if people can see you in the picture. (Oh.....and be sure to put your clothes on unless you are Brad Pitt!)

3) Don't distract your item by adding any props in your picture. (Unless she is a mistress of General Mao!!)

4) Close up detail on your item. Don't shoot from far away. (That is such a nice carpet!!!)

5) Shoot in the location that has a nice lighting. Don't over and under exposure your photos. (by the way, is she sitting on the toilet?)

6) Be sure that you shoot your right in the right perspective. Don't try to be too creative. (Is she lying dead??)

7) A lot of digital cameras these days have a lot of special effects but this is not the time to use them! (hmmmm, you are entering the Twilight Zone!)

The simple rule for a sucessful photo is try to be simple and clean. You don't need to try to hard and you should get some test shots before posting on the site. Remember, if you don't think that your photos are good, they are most likely no good.
